![]() Also note that regardless of the level of summer advancement class your student takes, if it is your intention for your student to take an HONORS level class next year, he/she must take the HONORS level final exam in August. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made. Courses for advancement purposes do not receive high school credit nor do they receive credit toward the calculation of rank or GPA. Students must enroll in a course that meets the 120-hour requirement with a live instruction component. Students who elect this option must show evidence of a final grade of 80 or higher in the summer course AND must receive a grade of 80 or higher on the district mathematics final examination taken in August to advance to the next course. ![]() Forms must be submitted by Monday, June 5 th for approval. This form is for courses taken for the purpose of advancement in Geometry, Algebra II, or Precalculus only AFTER the completion of grade 9.
